My list of shame ESSA Congress and Senate Yea votes. Yea votes equal can’t get my vote. No Justice, No Votes!
On January 8, 2002 President Bush with overwhelming bipartisan from both political parties votes to make No Child Left Behind that promised High Stakes testing in grades 3 to 8 and once in high school, would raise test scores, and have every child reading writing, and doing math at grade level. 5089 days later all children are not reading at grade level. Actually our high school students have not perform this poorly on the SAT in nearly four decades. 5089 days of pain and suffering with no results, and what did Washington DC decide to do?
On December 15, 2015?
A new president with overwhelming bipartisan from both political parties sign into law “Every Student Succeeds Act” ensuring that high stakes testing the accountability focus of their legislation.
